PvX is baed, it's just a collection of worse versions of standard bars.
Good for trolling, bad for builds.

My monk still plays the Fi Boon Healer template. I see no way to improve upon perfection.

Bro, it's ok. During the beta weekends (before Prophecies was released) I had a ranger with orison of healing...and I actually used orison of healing...
That's before we all realise that this game has limited synergy between classes.
...and yeah...Wiki is for people who need to look at a class in a, "New Light," or don't know how to play a class or are complete morons who want to nominate a few skills as the, "Best Skills In the Game," ala Barrage, Spoil Victor or Searing Flames.
I myself prefer muffins.

For heroes (specifically heroes of classes I've never played) yes, for my own characters (and heroes whose class I've played extensively) no. I'm not above browsing PvX for inspiration on skill combos, though.

I use them on occasion, albeit mainly for farming since most other builds don't seem very good for my playing style.

I've never used PvX, not even once. I've glanced at it a few time and end up disagreeing with some choices on some builds. Think about it would you give up your best build for an area? What makes you think others genuinely do?
PvX ruins the game IMO because people get dependent on other people playing the game for you. For example would you ever do a Party of 8 Assassins in THK? I have once and it was the most fun I've ever had with Guild Wars. Yet people who use PvX would never do or think of such a thing. PvX people don't take risks to have fun and ruin the game for others and themselves.

PvX is good for terrible players.
Otherwise, it's useless.

I didn't even know they existed!
But then again - I play PvE only, pretty much exclusively with H/H and I HATE HM - so my builds can be as wacky as I want them to be!
(Plus I get the farming tips from my guildies - which I RARELY take but ...)

Well I do use it sometimes for most farming builds and elite area builds... since most ask for specific builds when you go into DoA, Deep, Urgoz, ... Wonder when will they make team build for slaver's exile
It's a very interesting place... for ab I make my own though and for general pve

I often take a look on pvxwiki, but i never totally copy them, but i modify them. or i base my own builds on the build listed there.
